How can an expander help?
The palatal expander “expands” (or widens) the upper jaw by putting gentle pressure on your upper molars each time an adjustment is made. Palatal expanders assist natural growth in children and help treat crossbites, crowding and impacted teeth.
When included as part of your child’s treatment plan, expanders can help prevent extractions, improve breathing and shorten the length of time they need to spend in braces.
