Traditional Metal Braces
The most common type of braces, traditional metal braces are more comfortable today than ever before. Made of high-grade stainless steel, metal braces straighten your teeth using metal brackets and archwires. With metal braces, you have the option of adding colored elastics (rubber bands) for a more unique and colorful smile.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces are made of clear materials and are therefore less visible on your teeth than metal braces. For this reason, their popularity has grown significantly and are chosen by patients of all ages who value enhanced esthetics. By incorporating the strength and function of traditional metal braces with the esthetics of translucent ceramic, we can achieve the same orthodontic results without the need for more noticeable metal braces. We use Clarity low profile ceramic braces because they have proven to be the leader in durability, fracture and stain resistance while delivering unmatched clinical results.
Self Ligating Braces
Self-ligating braces are made from the same materials as traditional braces. However, self-ligating braces do not require the use of elastics, which means fewer appointments and less friction on the tooth. We use special, customized SMARTCLIP™ brackets from 3M that are computer designed using a unique nickel-titanium metal alloy, giving you a beautiful smile with more comfort and in less time than with traditional metal braces.
